Geography & History
Trumbull is located within easy access to most other major cities and towns within Connecticut. Just 45 miles southwest from the capital city of Hartford, Trumbull is also easily accessible to New York City by rail or highway. Trumbull was originally founded as an extension of the town now known as Stratford. The 'Village of Unity' was formally established in 1725, but had already been home to several families prior to this time. The town eventually incorporated in 1797 and took the name of Jonathan Trumbull, the only man to serve as Governor of a Colonial Colony and a newly established state following American independence.

Parks & Recreation
Trumbull CT is home to numerous parks and is ideally suited for a wide range of outdoor and family activities. The 27-hole Tashua Knolls Golf Course is located in the northwest corner of Trumbull in the 268-acre Tashua Recreation Area. Also included on the grounds are 8 tennis courts, a full-size pool with diving area, a separate 'Kiddie Pool', 2 full-size basketball courts, a 'Tot Lot' playground, as well as restrooms, picnic areas, and a concession stand. The club house facility also has a Grille Room and Banquet Area for additional dining and outing options.
