Also called the Port Jefferson Ferry or Port Jeff Ferry, it is a vital link between the southwest Connecticut shoreline and Long Island. With hourly departures every day of the week, the Bridgeport Ferry delivers passengers and automobiles to Long Island in just 75 minutes. Drive, walk or ride your bicycle aboard one of three ferries. Sit back, relax and enjoy the view. Experience the simplicity and comfort of travel. Listen to the sounds of the waves as you enjoy a meal from the Snack Bar, or if you choose have a cocktail in the Steamboat Lounge, as the Ferry cruises across the Sound.

Directions to the Bridgeport Ferry
The doc is located at 330 Water Street Dock, Bridgeport CT 06604. The dock is just minutes from the Metro-North train stration. Downtown Bridgeport is undergoing continued revitalization. During this re-construction period, the directions may be subject to changing traffic patterns and/or detours. Please follow signs directing you to the Ferry Dock.

From I-95 West/South
Take Exit 27, at bottom of ramp make left, then straight on Lafayette Street. Continue under rail road bridge and make left on Rail Road Avenue, proceed ahead to Ferry access road.

From I-95 East/North
Take Exit 27. At the bottom of exit ramp, make right hand turn, proceed under railroad tracks. Then make left on Railroad Avenue. Follow to Ferry access road straight ahead.

From Route 8 & 25
Take last exit, Exit #1. Stay straight four traffic lights. Proceed under railroad tracks then make left hand turn onto Railroad Avenue. Follow to Ferry access road straight ahead.

Walk-on foot passengers MUST use passenger entrance on Water Street.
